my continuity-less ass is probably just missing the deep symbolic significance of this

I cannot, for the life of me, parse this picture:

Is it the progression of Roy from...uh, far distant woman with good breasts through bizarrly skull-masked nutter with weapons and a studded dog collar? Then an even nuttier wannabe Green Arrow? And then Speedy? Is that supposed to be Speedy? I cannot tell. I certainly cannot tell what is up with Hobo Grizzly Man guy, and then there is Roy with the awesome boots.

And I definitely cannot figure out why they are skipping through a nebula.

But no, seriously, it's the woman and the Dog Collar guy that are getting me. I cannot figure them out! is Dog Collar Guy Roy from Checkmate? Or is i just his SECRET DESIRE to be a one man weapons depot and bondage fetishist?

Also, dishwashing gloves were never a cool accessory. NEVER. The newer kickin' boots though are made of win.

Also, honestly? That is just some *crappy* art. Earlier, Roy has raptor arms. Which are awesome if you are, you know, a raptor. But slightly less awesome if you are a person.

ETA:

I just saw the track marks and the rubber tubing. Dude, that's some *impressive* facial hair for a teenager.

ETA2: I have decided Roy and Zinda is my cracktastical pairing of shallow hotness. Everyone else has cracktastical pairings! And you know, Dinah knows them both. It could happen.

Oh, I've been in comics forever. It just wasn't DCU.

Want to know random bizarre things about the X-Men circa 1990? That I can tell you. Or the New Warriors!

1990? Pfft, that was five minutes ago!

It is a significant portion of my life ago!

There's also assorted stuff from I think '86? When Firestar first appeared in the comics. And one awesome one where Emma Frost and Storm switch bodies and have a catfight in the middle of the sky over Kitty Pryde.
