I keep forgetting that mosca's fic isn't canon. Post-NFA (where Gunn survives) and he's a prosecutor I think, anyway. He could be a public defender. But regardless! Post NFA! it could work! like...magic. Er.

Or, you know, anything post-NFA and not comics canon would work.
