rargh! rage!

OH MY GOD, WHY CAN'T I HAVE A DAY IN WHICH I DO NOTHING?

*cries*

ETA: The "conversation" went something like this--

Mom: "Why are you just sitting there?"
Me: "Er."
Mom: "Why aren't you doing something?"
Me: "I'm watching Rugrat for Sister."
Mom: "You never do anything around here."
Me: "OMGWTF."

I love you a lot, and stab anyone causing you not-nothing.

*snuggle* I love you much, darlingest.

Oh, man. I'm super sorry. "Do-nothing" days are so totally essential to sanity in my world. Plus, it sounds like you were actually engaged in Rugrat-watching, which is still *something*. Though I realize the likelihood is low, I wish you many nothing-filled days in the very near future.

Heh. I love the Rugrat (there are two, but only one of them is constantly in my pocket), but this weekend he was just...ill-mannered and annoying, so it was more of a trial than usual.

And lord, I need to just book a hotel room elsewhere and veg for a night or two. Possibly with room service.

I am having a bit of the same with my Mum. I was planning on lazing around and watching Smallville and plotting out a Clark/Richard fic, and instead I am doing *housework*.

[identity profile] mimesere.livejournal.com 2006-09-18 03:07 am (UTC)(link)
Housework is sadmaking! I had errands to run, which is annoying because if she'd just told me to do them, I would have been happy to do them! But no, it had to be drama. Woe.

::offers hug:: On the upside, Mum made two sorts of cookies. She really cannot go into a story hungry and without an escort. It leads to mass baking.

It's my dad for me. With EVERYTHING I do...

<lj-user "mimesere">, you'll love this.

I have just decided that since my thesis is due next wednesday I'm taking a week at my uncle's mansion of awesome.

This may or may not have to do with being gently reproved at five o'clock in the morning for having left a cupboard door ajar in the kitchen. (I hadn't) I shut it and in passing mentioned that It Wasn't Me.

All finished, right?

THAT EVENING, when I got home at 9.30, I get drawn aside, and Dad says, in that reasonable tone, as ever: ' You know, we all live in this house together. If you see a cupboard door ajar, you should shut it'*

He'd been brooding about it ALL DAY.

Yes dad. Of course. Something just quietly imploded in my brain. If you don't mind, I'll just go over here into the corner and rock gently for a while.

*as opposed to say, calling your daughter away from her thesis to 'mention' that it's not a proper way to live, cupboard doors all awry or dishes not-put-away, perhaps? Do I sound bitter?.

Icky. I am totally sorry.

...I would suggest running away to Korea, but I think that is basically my answer to everything now and I cannot imagine what your Mom would do if you ran away. It would be...well, not very pretty, I suspect.
