Nextwave #10 - Cracktastical AU extravaganza! Really cranky superheroes!

Superman #657 - Um. Um. Um. OMG Y'ALL. POST APOCALYPTIC METROPOLIS I THINK I LOVE YOU! Is that spoilery? I mean, it is something you can pick up from the cover. And the first page. Actually, I do not care if it is spoiler 'cause of that part where you can clearly see postapocalypticness from the cover. (Oh, Jimmy. Oh, *Lois*. I could not love either of you more than I do)

Birds of Prey #100 - Oh, ladies. You are all so, so gay for each other.

Civil War - Wow, Tony Stark, you are a dick. You are *really upset* that Cap broke up with you 'cause you are a dickface who does not care about civil liberties. I bet you cry emo tears at night because no one loves you. Also, I bet the mutants are totally pulling an I Told You So. This is what happens when you don't speak out about Mutant Registration, superheroes! It comes back to bite you on the ass! This is like the worst soap opera in the world. I don't like 90% of the people playing and a large portion of the people playing are just being stupid in some pretty remarkable ways. But *man*, this is hilarious in the way where it is The Saga of Captain America and Iron Man's Divorce.

You make-a me larf, 'cause you're so right about the divorce. Even Spidey, the object of my One True Fandom (at this point), has been distressingly idiotic throughout this whole thing. I blame Mark Millar, who fucked up The Authority when Ellis left, and has now managed to fuck up two or three years of brilliant groundwork-laying by my Super Secret Man-Crush Bendis. He's, like, the official Fucker-Upper of comics. (Meanwhile, JMS is desperately trying to make the awful Millar-ness make sense in some way in Amazing Spider-Man, and it's terrible to watch.) Make him go away!!!

And yes, Nextwave is love, and I weep bitter tears of loss that it will end after three more issues. ;_; Woe!

...only three more issues of Nextwave? Seriously? But it's so awesome! It has a theme song!

And...yeah. I can't take Civil War seriously, because everyone is being oh *so* dumb (except for like, Cap and Luke Cage. Cap 'cause he's all, "The hell with all of you, I'ma go fight Nazis! Stupid Tony! WHY DID YOU HAVE TO SUCK TONY?!? WHY GOD WHY?!?" and Luke Cage 'cause, well, he's Luke freaking Cage)and it's so clearly just a messy breakup. (Also, dude, Tony, a guy was *so disgusted with you* that he was willing to commit suicide to take you out because he could not continue to exist in a world where you sucked this hard. What does that say about you? Hmmm?)

And Mark Millar is a fuckup, that cannot be denied.
