In absolute fairness, I do not know if it has happened yet, but yes, apparently Roy Harper's arm is going to get/has been lopped off.

And then apparently he gets a mini series or something about how he deals with it.

You know, every time, EVERY time, I think I might want to go back into a comic shop and buy something - every time I start to consider it seriously - one of the big two immediately takes action to remind me why I went cold turkey. I guess I should be grateful?

I was actually just having the same thought. 'Cause I was reading some comic reviews and they sounded good and, you know, I really wanted to get N.E.X.T.Wave in trade, and I thought, Hey, Roy finally got to be a member of the JLA 'cause he's super awesome, right? And then BAM. I find that.

But he gets a JLA storyarc called JLA: Rise of Roy Harper. I guess. That kinda...makes up for making him the DCU punching bag. Maybe.

I would say this is why I read Marvel but honestly just about all the Marvel titles I follow don't actually take place in the regular 616 universe, because they also pull shit like this.

The Arrows were some of my favorites when I used to read DC. D: Along with the Bart/Tim/Kon Young Justice/Teen Titans teams. And Ted and Booster. DC broke my heart a long time ago.

Oh, LaT. What they have done to Wondy in Blackest Night is a TRAVESTY.

The only good news to come out of DCU recently is the restart of Birds of Prey.
