(unpopular) fannish opinion

I would (still) rather watch a show that tries and fails at diversity than a show that doesn't even bother.

in other news, the music from ATLA makes me happy. Here, have some: http://www.myspace.com/thetrackteammusicandsound

I would think that should be a popular fannish opinion, but I am permanently out of step with fandom anyway, so. The hell do I know. *g*

I don't even know anymore. I keep seeing Glee being castigated for basically doing LOLDIVERSITY and I'm like, well...these other ten shows that fandom is watching don't even do LOLDIVERSITY. How is that better?

Sadly, I still do not see the answer to that question anywhere on the interwebs. It makes me very sad.

So right there with you. Also, I would rather watch a crap show that doesn't fail at diversity than a slightly better one that does. Which is why I held onto Grey's Anatomy way longer than I ordinarily would have.

That's part of why I tried to stay with Heroes. Lord, I tried.

On the plus side, I haven't seen any "perfect as the enemy of the good"-style criticism of ATLA? It seems like everyone who watches it instantly falls in love with it. As they should. BECAUSE IT'S AWESOME. <333
