things I did today

1) be yelled at for not dropping everything to bring my sister a hamburger

3) cuss

4) Read One's an alien with superpowers and a thing for primary colors! the other is a vengeful paranoiac with a thing for bats! together, they fight crime! Superman + Batman: FUGITIVES FROM THE LAW OMG. It takes place after Hush and President Bush Luthor has declared Superman an enemy of the state. And wow, they're...like the best buddy cop show *ever*. And truthfully, I do like the wry, snarky, ironic Batman who comes out to play with the cheerfully direct Superman. They do good things for each other. And I love that Batman is all, "Luthor is a bad, bad man. Also, he makes Clark go crazy and not be all shiny boyscout guy which, hey, *so* not on." Then, I read Hush which, er, was there. And I really like Commissioner Gordon, man. *cough* And Superman. And Oracle.

So, Batman + Superman = high-powered buddy cop hijinks (dude, Superman got shot with kryptonite and still managed to spend every other line bickering with Batman and making fun of the dour). And then they spent the entire book commenting on how awesome the other one was. It was delightful and happy. The art made me want to put out my own eyes with a spork, though.

Do you want to come blow up things at my mother in laws house after five? Boom. Bang! Melting toys! BURNING. I don't know if its constructive but it makes me feel better.

I'm wearing my "Dear Buuddha please bring me a pony and a plastic rocket" t shirt and since we have rockets, well, fireworks, I'm going to go buy a my little pony to carry around with me all day.
