1) sleep
2) to get out of my house
3) without a sense of crushing guilt
4) cake

and I'm trying to convince myself that writing a post about race is not the best idea i've ever had.

Tabby: "That's like your European flag or something?"
Ellie: "Yeah. The stars bit, anyway."
Tabby: "That flag sucks."
Ellie: "Shut up."
Tabby: "It makes Europe look like a really sucky country."
Ellie: "Europe isn't a country."
Tabby: "If it's not a country, how come it has a flag? Huh? How come?"
Ellie: "Europe's a community."
Tabby: "I betcha community is just a longer word for country. A French word or something. Why do the French hate us, anyway?"
Ellie: "They don't. They don't know you. The French-Canadians hate you, though."
Tabby: "ZOMG! There are French people in Canada? That's like, right next door! OH NOES!"
