I HAS AN AMY!

Also, we have obtained awesomeness! There was Grunberg-ness, the Middleman panel was made of fantasticness and win and energy and win and wonderfulness, the minx panel (an imprint of dc) was fun, and the eye on the past sf/f panel made me want to buy books, though it somewhat convinced me that peter david is a dick but that connie willis is made of sunshine and puppies and awesome.

i also now have shirts! i has a nerd herd shirt, a central city track team shirt, and an atlantis swim team shirt. and other stuff. it is ftw.

amy and i are lame though and we came back to the hotel. otoh, we have cookie dough here and that is awesome.

Firstly: If there are people who are going to Comic Con and you want to hang out or meet up or something and you don't have but want my phone number, let me know.

things what i have done
-called the hotel and asked for early check in (maybe), tax rates (bah), if there is a blender in the room (maybe), if we can leave our bags at the front desk (yes), airport shuttle (yes), and distance to convention center (10 minutes driving, wtf front desk dude. it's 1.4 miles.)

-need to find distance from hotel to ralph's grocery store for to purchase amazingly tacky margarita in a pouch and garlic cheese bread (this we may need to do when the shuttles are running) because we are made of classy.

-hauled out the bags for packing (yes, I know it is more than a week away, OMG IT'S LIKE A WEEK AWAY OMG OMG OMG OMG I CAN HAS AN AMY, YOU GUYS, but there are some Very Important Decisions to be made about media to bring (bed dead and breakfast, seasons of XF so we can "prepare" for the movie, mammoth, other things TBD, the most amazing amy present ever about the baby mammoth being cloned in mongolia 100% TRUFAX, and um. stuff. you know. IT IS VERY IMPORTANT THAT THESE THINGS BE DETERMINED OR ELSE WE MIGHT NOT HAVE ENTERTAINMENT FOR EVERY MINUTE OF FIVE DAYS)

-checked the weather.com 10 day forecast: the weather is supposed to be really nice. YAY!

things what i still need to do
-print out comic con badge bar scanny thing

-print out hotel reservation confirmation

-print out train confirmation and directions

-pack

-unpack all the stuff i put in there that i don't need

-flail at amy on the phone (ongoing)

-obtain batteries for camera

-flail at amy some more

oh look, I'll be able to go see Gerard Way at a panel with Grant Morrison on the sold out day of CCI 2008.

Well, I mean, as long as it doesn't conflict with anything else.
