ridiculous things that make me happy
Nov. 16th, 2007 04:17 pmroy harper and the jla + bandom -
I have this whole ridiculous plot worked out where Mia keeps wanting to go see these pottymouthed emo pop punk bands and Roy's the only person who will go with her because whatever, so they're tiny crazy people who fondle each other on stage, they still rock and it's not like Great Frog was the Best Band in the History of the Universe or anything. So he goes and he and Mia have Speedy Bonding Time over Fall Out Boy and My Chemical Romance and then Things Keep Shenaniganating and sometimes Roy has to save Patrick Stump from supervillains and sometimes he has to keep Frankie from trying to climb Batman and secretly he laughs at how Bob Bryar just keeps staring at Superman like he's...uh, Superman and Frank keeps poking Bob in the side and mouthing "Goody two shoes" at Bob and waggling his eyebrows and Bob wants to shove Frank in the head but he can't do that, because Superman would be disappointed.

One of my advisors will be an average five-year-old child. Any flaws in my plan that he is able to spot will be corrected before implementation.

Sometimes, when I am sad, I like to think of my Everyone Thinks Clark Is Gay story and then I giggle.
Alternately, I like to think of effed up ways to make time travel and/or repeating days and/or quantum physics painful and angst-inducing. This makes me giggle.
Also, punching people in the face.

It makes me laugh and wiggle in joy that the first response of the Justice League to any kind of crisis is to punch it until it gives up. Evildoers beware indeed.
Somewhat relatedly: y'all, both televised versions of the Tick are made of glee. The animated version -- The Tick vs Season 2 is out on dvd, btw -- has the Civic Minded Five and the Sewer Urchin and American Maid and Die Fleidermaus (or however that's spelled). The live action version has Patrick Warburton as The Tick and it has Batmanuel! Batmanuel who is my favorite, dude. Seriously. Batmanuel! Hee.
This is related to the Justice League only in the way that there is face punching.
