I am loving the high school rivalry as it is hilarious. And I like Claire's gay nerdy not-a-friend.

Oh, I love how she is Hiro's opposite number. Where he's seeking to be out of the ordinary, she is seeking normalcy. And yet, they were the first two to step up in a major way. SO AWESOME. Bryan Fuller and Jeph Loeb, I love you!

I was wondering that myself. ;) I don't get the relatively spread animosity against Peter (or is it Milo that people dislike?), but hey, to each their own. There's no doubt that Hiro's THE BEST GUY EVER! though. :D Now with sidekick!

I don't get Simone though. She left Isaac, who didn't necessarily *want* to be special, but was accepting it (and the price of his life being a leetle fucked up), and fell into Peter's arms, Peter who left her father (where he was doing a good job) for a vague wish to be special in some way he's not mentioning? I really hope next thing Peter does is try to convince her he can fly...

Have you seen the comics they have at the website? There's stuff that's not in the episodes.

I'm pretty sure Niki's missing husband is played by Leonard Roberts and, as fine as that guy was, he was not quite as pretty as Leonard Roberts is. So. I doubt he is the husband! But I could be wrong.

Having had a conversation with Amy about the whole thing, I think what it comes down to is that Hiro wants, very specifically, to be a *hero* and Peter wants to be "special". Like, it's everything about being a hero that Hiro wants -- the powers, the responsibility, the attention, and the respect -- and not just the Being Different From Everybody Else. And I don't get the feeling that Peter's desire for specialness is quite the same thing.

I think Simone left Isaac because she thought he was (possibly drug-induced) crazy. And Peter is...safe. Though possibly when he tells her he thinks he can fly, she will be like, "OMG, are they putting crazy in the *water*?" and that will be entertaining.
