If there is fic later, it is all her fault.
Have I mentioned that I'm RIDICULOUSLY excited about going to see Muse at the Forum? Because I am. MUSE! *makes sounds of YAY!*
"Please Please Please Let Me Get What I Want" - Not Another Teen Movie OST (Smiths cover)
see, the luck I've had can make a good man turn bad
WOOOOO. Oh, the Smiths. Oh, Muse.
"Pink Ego Box" - Muscle Museum EP
can't afford another day at 50 bytes per second
Hee! It is a song about hookin' up on the internets! via IM! *heart*
"Eternally Missed" - Hysteria b-side
you can't resist making me feel
Is it weird that I find this song kind of creepy? Rockin' and awesome, but kind of creepy.
"Twin" - Cave
you've sucked all the breath out of me
Still kind of with the creepy theme here. God, I love Matt Bellamy. He's such a freak.
"Coma" - Muse EP
you will not find it in me and you'll reveal all your pains again
You know how you listen to Radiohead's Pablo Honey and it's awesome but it's SO not what you think of when you think of Radiohead? Yeah, pretty much this is like that.
"Glorious" - Black Holes and Revelations (japanese bonus track)
it drives me away but it turns me on like a stranger's love
Fuck me, but I love this song an awful fucking lot. I just. I *love* this song.
"Nishe" - Unintended
instrumental
Not that I expect anyone to know what I am talking about, but this song totally reminds me of listening to Chroma Key. It's mellow and lazy and the tiniest, tiniest bit uneasy. It is a Verona Beach song.
"The Groove" - Time is Running Out b-side
someone tell me why she breaks my fall and then breaks my heart
Discordant and jangly and uneasy and then it settles into a hardcore asskicking groove of fucking awesome while remaining a little discordant and jangly and uneasy. Rock on, Matt Bellamy.
"Execution Commentary" - Plug in Baby
instrumental
Um. WTF? There's a lot of random wailing/screaming and noisy chaos.
"Bedroom Acoustics" - Plug In Baby
instrumental
So, okay, one of the things I love best about Black Holes and Revelations are all the spanish music influences in it, what with the whole spaghetti western theme of "Knights of Cydonia" and all the background trumpet and the sheer AWESOME. And in this song you can totally hear that the influences of spanish music are and have been A Thing for Matt Bellamy for a while. So. It is awesome.
Man, how do I not have an icon for ROCKING THE FUCK OUT? *uses Ellie Bloodstone, as she rocks hardcore and will kick you with slippers on!*
