I've never been so grateful to live in the suburbs and away from hospitals, man. Most everyone is in LA or down in Newport and pretty much we just have kids and old people here. Good news in that way where old people are slower, bad in that way where dude, they're kids and I only have room for four other people. One of the soccer moms here has a Suburban, so we should be able to hit the high school and pick up anyone who's still okay. News reports say that the 91 is jacked, but I figure we can take the toll roads and get out toward Corona past the bottleneck. We'll be better off in the desert. More open ground, less cover, more ways to see what's coming. Or maybe we should head toward Coachella. The wind generators there might be a good thing to have.

My baby's got a few more dents in him, but he's holding up. We can't hear the high school kids anymore. I don't know if that's good or bad.

Here's hoping.
