mimesere01) AMY AMY AMY. Scientists say velociraptors had feathers. You know what this means, right? In JP4, not only can they have guns, but they can FLY*. Truly, raptors are the awesomest.
02) I bought new shoes today! Only a massive effort of will kept me from buying the most ridiculously emo scene shoes ever (converse slip ons in a lovely brown color with little pink broken hearts on them. I didn't get them. I'm not saying I won't get them in the future, but I didn't get them now and really, isn't that what's important?).
03) I got black chucks because, well. Yes. Let's not discuss the why, okay? They are super comfortable and happy. The other shoes I bought are black canvas slip ons with a sparkly red star on them. I can really only be thankful that I dislike belts and so the likelihood of my purchasing a white belt are slim to none.
04) Resident Evil: Extinction comes out tomorrow. Hot hot hot Milla Jovavich and Ali Larter and Oded Fehr. I'll be totally honest, I don't care how crap these movies are or how much of a departure they are from the games. Milla Jovavich does not wear a whole heck of a lot and she kills zombies and she's hot. This is also true of Oded Fehr and Ali Larter. So, really, hot people + zombiepocalypse. I'm sold!
05) I am not allowed to write angst. I've decided this. Because I'm a mean horrible person. Could I go to the wacky hijinks place with amnesia!Patrick? Sure! Did I? AHAHAHAHAHA NO. I went to the bitter angry Pete place. Oh, amnesia!Patrick. Best story I'll never write.
06) Heroes is coming back and I have good music (Graduation almost went platinum the first week it was out) and Muse is tomorrow (and Saturday!) and I love comic books (Umbrella Academy! yay!) and Street Scene is Saturday (Travis, baby, why you gotta hate? I'm forgiving you for your heartbreaking lack of flow! ladysorka and seriously, I'm so happy about my new shoes, you don't even know. Raptors with wings! Superman is awesome! I have a Shayera action figure! The people around me are talking about how Dragon Wars is amazingly fantastically awful! Truly, this is the best of all possible worlds.
07) I am 148 songs into my 298 song Muse playlist. Things I have learned from this: the instrumental Absolution album is fantastic and gives you a pretty hefty appreciation for that band's outstanding musicianship and the way that the songs; Muse really should Just Say No to remixes; man, I really REALLY love Matt Bellamy's voice; listening to "Supermassive Black Hole" split up into the various tracks (guitars, bass, drums, vocals) is a fascinating exercise in rock music structure and instrumentation; and um, I really love them, you guys. I love them like I love Tool. I don't love them like I love FOB and MCR, but the part of me that loves corporate whore emo and 70s stadium rock pastiche is not the same part of me that loves over the top apocalyptic wailing british art rock. So.

09) I've spent a large part of today reading xkcd. It is happymaking.
10) You guys, I get live music this weekend! And I getladysorka! And Muse! And TAI! and Panic! I am all excited!
