It's been kind of an escapist week. Also, clearly, I have Physical Types I like in my urban fantasy heroines and a deep love of werewolves.
Time Travel in Einstein's Uiverse, Schrodinger's Kittens and the Search for Reality (John Gribbin), and A Sideways Look at Time (Jay Griffiths) are all excellent books about time, perception, physics, and alternate realities. And they are all very very accessible books.
...yes, I do have an entire cube of my bookshelf devoted to quantum physics, parallel universes, and time travel. Right above it are books about the British Royal Navy and right below it are books about race. Hi, my name is Sheila, and I'm a giant geek.
In other news, I continue to not call back Boy I Am Not Dating, as the very thought of it makes me get panicky and avoidant. I feel terrible about this, but just not terrible enough to call. Frankly, the idea of talking to him makes me kind of want to either crawl in my bed and hide and never come out or it makes me want to throw up, neither of which suggests a conversation of any kind of reasonable coherence or duration. He called me and left a message. Consequently, I have not checked my voicemail. I have the emotional maturity of a blueberry scone.
