I love bandom like I love you popslash. I would love you more if there weren't times when Kanye West is referred to as some hip hop guy. !!!! IT'S KANYE WEST. There are a couple people I think you should be able to identify on sight in terms of modern (pop) cultural relevance, and *especially* so in something like bandom, and Kanye West is one of them.

( This is Kanye West. If you know nothing else about him, you should know that he is a succesful hip hop artist who has spoken out against homophobia in hip hop, he said publically after Katrina that George Bush didn't care about black people, and he proved that a gospel song can find mainstream success. )

( FOB hearts Jay-Z. Jay-Z hearts FOB. He gave them bling. No, really. He did. And he introduced their album. And has invited Patrick to collaborate with him. )

And, for the record, "Nothing Compares 2 U" is not originally by Sinead O'Connor. It is a Prince song. PRINCE.

The new Foo Fighters song = MADE OF AWESOME. DAVE GROHL I LOVE YOU. That is all.

...*points at icon* the person in that picture with Patrick (and Andy) is ?uestlove. He is a drummer. He is MADE OF AWESOMENESS. There is a reason Patrick and Andy look like they being big giant fanboy dorks.

More stuff:

I think I'm either feeling better or I have fooled my body into thinking I am feeling better with the generous application of caffeine and sugar. Otherwise I am all plague-y and ick. But I feel really very cheerful! So that's something at least.

My bandom mix of dorky people in love continues to grow. I have just added Gnarls Barkley's "Smiley Faces" to the mix and if you haven't seen that video, you totally ought to, as it is made of cuteness. (Other songs on this mix include: "Girls and Boys" by Blur, "Feel Good Inc." by Gorillaz, "You're My Best Friend" by Queen, "Big Me" by Foo Fighters, etc).

I am seriously filled with love for this fandom. It is shiny and the canon is awesome.

My Flash logo shirt is making me v. v. happy. It is quite dorky.

Basically, I am kind of in the DORKY = FTW mindset today.

Also, I still have love in my heart for my flist. 'Cause you guys are awesome.
