All I want is a frothy, delightful fantasy/romance/sci fi novel that has banter and good people and not a lot of angst, like, just enough angst to make me go awwwww and want them to have hugs and a plot that's not entirely WTF-inducing or inexplicable while also being PoC/queer friendly and/or with the not-overbearing social commentary.
Like, in my secret heart of hearts? I really just want a Terry Pratchett-esque book with romance. I'm not gonna lie. Or ooh, something like Chuck. Or Pushing Daisies! I would REALLY REALLY LOVE THE BOOK EQUIVALENT OF PUSHING DAISIES.
...barring this, I would like for Connie Willis to write a novel-length exploration of "At The Rialto." Hello screwball comedy *and* quantum physics! It is like my favoritest thing in the world.
and while I'm asking for the moon: I would like all of this not told in first person.
also: nick and norah's infinite playlist, y/n?
eta: found my copies of Impossible Things and Bellwether. Woo!
