Because really, Jack and Norrington are all about the bratty, taunting love.

Great work all around! Excellent song. I especially liked the looks on "but you know it's not that easy" and the cuts at the very end.

Yay Great Big Sea! :)

Okay, so, it's like this: Hallelujah is, to me, the perfect illustration of this strange, slightly melancholy and rather complex story which somehow ended up on the edge of a blockbuster action movie. I love the fan-environment where these stories are found and embraced and loved, because the majority of the population never even knows they're there. It's kinda like jennyo's Lilah love - everything's there, but it takes a special sensitive eye to see it.

And then, this. This is another perfect illustration, of another edge-story. And it's absolutely right, the song's now going to be a mainstay of every pirate playlist I ever make. And the snark! It's not just plain ordinary snark, it's the beautiful playful fun snark of two people whose whole connection is built on the utter insanity of the fact of their chemisty. And Jack's fine with insanity, but James is less familiar with the whole notion and so they're just... eee!

So, yes. This is everything that a Jack/Norrington vid could be, because there's a little bit of uncertainty and angst but mostly there is the wind and the sea and the law and chaos and the snarky sparkiness of them. Brava!

I just...I love your brain, man.

'Cause so much of my sparrington love is a direct result of you, and they are so happy! And bratty to each other, and all snarky. And I love them! And...you articulate so beautifully *why* they're so spectacularly fun and yes. Hi.

*smooch*

Finally watched it and absolutely adored it! You put the perfect clips with each part of the song -- and it's one of my favourite songs ever *and* Sparrow and Norrington! Weeeeeee!

The funny thing -- I noticed some comments on how much of a Jack song Consequence Free is, but I see it much more as a Norrington song. Jack is *already* consequence free, where Norrington -- especially Norrington a la Sparrington fandom -- very much wishes he *could* be that way. Especially:

I couldn't sleep at all last night
cause I had so much on my mind
I'd like to leave it all behind,
but you know it's not that easy

The clip you put with but you know it's not that easy just breaks my heart. *hugs James*

Umm... yeah, I'll quit babbling now. Thanks so much for this vid!

Hee! Yay! I'm glad you liked it!

Dude, I tried *so hard* to make it a Norrington POV for at least part of the thing, but it just...didn't want to work that way.

But yeah. I tried to go for subtlety! with the ships and um, Norrington being the image for most of the "consequence" lines. But eh.

Yay! Yay for happy, if a wee bit melancholy, sparrington!
