In my head, Cadman and McKay are having a conversation that goes something like:

McKay: *something insulting about the intelligence of marines*
Cadman: "Rodney, I have a masters degree in chemical engineering from *high falutin' school*"
McKay: "Yeah right."
Cadman: "Cum laude, bitch."
McKay: "Sure, whatever."
Cadman: "Okay, do you really think they sent *incompetent people* to another galaxy? Seriously? Do you seriously believe that?"
McKay: "You're not with the science team."
Cadman: "The science team gets to blow things up a lot less."
McKay: "Solar system!"
Cadman: "One time! Besides, Carter was WAY HOTTER when she blew up a sun."
McKay: "...seriously?"
Cadman: "Seriously. Really hot. Also a sun."

Okay, if I'm being totally honest? Cadman thinks blowing up 5/6 of a solar system is damn sexy. But she thinks McKay having a bitch fit is more entertaining than sex. Also, let's face it, Cadman/Carter? Smokin' hot. And full of explosives.

...also a sun.

I'm totally okay with the Cadman in my head liking 1) explosives, 2) sex, 3) taking the piss out of McKay, 4) basketball, and 5) dancing.

Possibly in that order.

Did you see that thing someone linked to where they said that someone (sorry for vague-ing it up here) in the PTB said that in the original version of "grace under pressure," instead of Griffin in the jumper, it was gonna be Cadman, and then *also it was going to be Cadman in Rodney's head?*

And I'm like-- huh! I always thought there was something quite similar between Griffin's ragging on McKay and the way Cadman relates to him. Like Cadman's been telling people "Poke McKay, he's *hilarious* when you take him on."

Of course I'm glad they decided not to kill off Cadman, but I also can't help thinking, man, how adorable would the Rodney-and-Cadman show have been? TOO ADORABLE.

I did not see that! But it does make a great deal of sense.

And truthfully, the fact that they didn't kill her off in that ep gives me a fair amount of hope that she'll show up in later seasons.

One of my hopes for season three is that Cadman shows up. A lot. She's possibly my Atlantis Mary Sue, and I'm ok with that. She's smart, she's funny. She's not willing to take shit.

And she blows stuff up. A lot.

What exactly is there not to love?

I still think it's funny that people accused the *Cadman* fans of not liking Katie Brown. Because dude, seriously, aren't the Cadman fans the ones who love Katie Brown? Because she is so totally Cadman's hot scientist girlfriend.

1. Katie Brown has fans? Who accuse Cadman fans of not liking her? Given that to my knowledge Katie Brown pretty much only exist as the woman who came between the true gay love of Sheppard and McKay...

The idea that her fans bag on the Cadman fans is funny. Because isn't there a bigger fish to fry here?

I am dancing around watching "Duet" because of my fear that my embarassment squick is going to go off something fierce (McKay has a way of bringing it out in me), but all the fic I've read makes me like Cadman. And her and Carter would be awesome, and possibly fry McKay's mind.

I quite liked Duet -- not only for Cadman...well okay, *mostly* for Cadman and then for Zelenka and then for McKay, but I did very much like Duet.

I needed that this week. There needs to be more McKay and Cadman interaction, because she freaks him out post-Duet merely by existing, and it's hysterical to watch.
