I am so sad you hate Virginia Woolf. If you tell me you are hating Villette, too, you will break my heart.

Isn't Por Avion excellent? I have big Amelia love.

Heee. I like Charlotte Bronte in general and Lucy Snow is right up my alley, so I'm pretty sure I will like it. Virginia Woolf...pings my irritation 'dar based on the blurb on the back and coupled with reading Mrs. Dalloway in a class full of people who have issues with, say, Browning, doesn't fill me with confidence about discussing the book. So, you know, I might be pleasantly surprised.

And Por Avion is very much with the excellent. I am still trying to decide if I like the live "Blackbird Pie" or the studio version better.

I think it is practically useless to blurb most of Woolf. Mrs Dalloway isn't my favorite, I'll admit; of the most frequently taught texts, my favorite is To the Lighthouse, but my heart really belongs to Orlando and A Room of One's Own. Her essays were a revelation to me. I didn't realize nonfiction could have such a *voice*.

I will keep it in mind and if Mrs. Dalloway does not work for me, I will give To The Lighthouse and Orlando a try. I really like the movie version of Orlando, so possibly that will carry the day.

Orlando for sure. ::nods vigorously::

And I heart Villette. Need to be reading that again, it seems to me...

I am heartbroken that you hate Carlyle. I adore that big freak.

*nuzzle* Carlyle, sadly, gets tarred with the I Hate Romantics brush. That plus the random capitalization makes me sit around and go, "If you were on LJ, you would be a person I hate on."

Plus, you know, I came out of the Carlyle vs Mill deathmatch on the side of Mill.
