I have had so many conversations about how awesome it would be to get Christian Bale's Batman and Brandon Routh's Superman together in a World's Finest movie. Where they first encounter each other, and discover their secret identities, and generally don't get along at all, except for the fact that's it's Love.

I probably would die from glee.

Bale's Batman and Routh's Superman fit together very very well. They're hitting that same age range, the movies themselves are tonally similar enough that it's not...jarring to imagine them interacting, and then they would totally get their respective bitches on while fighting crime together.

And you *know* that they had a snarktastic little convo during Superman's pitstop in Gotham.

Supes: "Hey. So...I'm back."
Bats: "..."
Supes: "Did you miss me?"
Bats: "No."
Supes: *big smile* "You totally missed me."
Bats: "I hate you."
Supes: "Tell Alfred I said hi."
Bats: *throws a batarang at Superman's head*
Supes: "You know, a hug says hello just as well as a concussion."

Wouldn't it be the BEST THING IN THE HISTORY OF EVERYTHING EVER? Because you *know* there would be snark:

Clark-as-Superman: Well, that was a fairly reasonable conclusion to draw, *Bruce*.

Bruce: What the ...?

Clark: I. Have. X-Ray. Vision. Did you really think I *wouldn't* look behind your cowl?

And they would fight crime! It would be like a live-action JL movie only with Bale and Routh. Seriously. Best. Thing. Ever.

All I'm saying is that Bruce wouldn't be the only one with the scoop on the secret-identity thing. 'Cause hello, canonically, Clark *is* (also) a Pulitzer Prize-winning *investigative* reporter. :-p
