Muse
Between Matt Bellamy's vocals and the bassist providing sex in instrumental form, this band makes me very happy. For each song, there are three versions and I put them in the order that I like them best, which is pretty much live KICKING ASS, live, studio (if there is one). They fucking *rock* live.

Supermassive Black Hole live on 4 Music
Supermassive Black Hole, live at Dundee 2006
the fucked up and vaguely creepy video for Supermassive Black Hole
So, apparently some people do not like this song because it is too pop. Whatever to them, I say! I *love* this song. It makes me want to dance and it is sexy like burning and it just. Yeah. I actually like the non-music-video one more because goddamn, y'all, that's a sexy band.

Feeling Good, live at the Montreux Jazz Festival, 2002
Feeling Good, live at Reading Festival 2006
Feeling Good, the music video.
So, here's the thing about this song and why I love it. I love love love the Nina Simone version of this song. It is classy and elegant and fucking awesome like there are no words for. The Muse version of this song (particularly the one at the Montreux Jazz Festival) is not classy or elegant. It is messy and chaotic and loud and weird and rocking and *awesome* in its complete abandon. The version from Reading Festival is way more restrained than the Montreux Jazz Festival, but I like it more for the audience sing-a-long. And frankly, the video is just pretty. I am sad that I do not have a mp3 of the Montreux Jazz Festival version, as that gives me goosebumps while also inspiring the need to throw horns. And man, can I just say how incredibly smoking hot it is that Matt Bellamy plays piano? 'Cause it is. Hot. As is his throwing sparkly confetti at his face. Look, it sparkles and is OTT. I am really just that easy.

For comparison, the version of "Feeling Good" what I hate:
Michael Buble. God, I want to PUNCH HIM REPEATEDLY IN THE FACE. It would hurt less if I didn't absolutely love the OTT musical arrangement under his GODAWFUL LYRICAL PHRASING JESUS WHY WON'T YOU DIE?

Moving on!

Heee! Look at them rocking out! SO CUTE. Hi, hotass bass player! Hi! And *goddamn*, Matt Bellamy. They are rocking *so hard*. I love them and their enthusiasm!

Microcuts, live at LaRoute DuRock
SO OTT! They are *rocking the fuck out* and I cannot help but love that. It's not even comprehensible, bless their crazy moaningness.

Hysteria, live...from somewhere I dunno. Matt Bellamy's wearing a hotass coat.
Hysteria, live at Glastonbury 2004. Also a hotass coat.
Hysteria, music video
Dude, the video for this is fucked the fuck up. But the volume is good. Anyway, this is the first song I distinctly remember hearing and going, "Well *hey* now."

Time Is Running Out, live at Glastonbury
Time Is Running Out, live at Trabendo
Time Is Running Out, music video
I um. I am totally one of those irritating people who plays music *really* loudly in the car and who sings along and headbangs and throws devil horns and in general gets way too enthusiastic at stoplights. Anyway. This is one of *those* songs.

Space Dementia, live at Montreux Jazz Festival 2002
Space Dementia, live performance off the Hullabaloo dvd
Space Dementia, live at Sudoeste 2002
Okay, seriously, how fucking *awesome* is that opening? Shit like that is why I cannot help but give Muse massive credit for musicianship. They got the goods. They just use the goods for evil.

Starlight, live in London
Starlight, live on Top of the Pops 2006
Starlight, music video
"Starlight" is mellower. It is another Loud Singing In the Car song.

There are many, *many* other live versions of all of these songs (okay, fewer for the stuff off Black Holes and Revelations, 'cause that's newer)

ETA: More!

-City of Delusion, live in Birmingham. BRASS FTW!
-New Born, music video
-Stockholm Syndrom, music video
-Butterflies & Hurricanes, music video
-Sing for Absolution, music video
-In Your World, music video
-Hypermusic, music video
-Bliss, music video Pink hair FTW!

Muse on TOTP (I know I am repeating links, but it's a really good performance), all songs from Black Holes and Revelations:
Supermassive Black Hole
Starlight
Map of the Problematique
Invincible
Knights of Cydonia

There's so much more. But I will stop now.

...okay, one more. Unintended, music video

Amusingly enough, I knew it reminded me of a Britney song, but I couldn't place which one.

Woo!
