Yeeeees... the Guess Who are Canadian. And they started out before The Who, so. *G* (Actually, story goes, the Guess Who sent their first single to stations with just "Guess Who?" printed as the artist name, because they wanted to be anonymous, and even after they revealed themselves the name stuck. So. Far more than you wanted to know, I'm sure. *g*)

Yes, dear. The Who are from England. The Guess Who are from Winnipeg. Pete Townsend in the former and Burton Cummings in the latter. Freaky, no?

I hereby recommend Festival Express for a thorough education in this area. It actually has neither the Who nor the Guess Who, but it does have Janis Joplin and The Band and The Grateful Dead and they buy all the booze in Saskatooooooooon!

Heeee. See, if a band has a weird name, it's probably Canadian. It's some sort of weird law. I used to do lights for a band called Freshwater Drum.
