So, I just got back from meeting [livejournal.com profile] goluxexmachina for dim sum in Chinatown (it ended like, four hours ago, but some of that time I spent reading Ass Bandits of the Caribbean and giggling to myself. Um. Look. It's an "erotic romance" with a m/f/m threesome set in the Caribbean. Of *course* I was going to read it. ANYWAY.

[livejournal.com profile] goluxexmachina is awesome and there were little fiddly things with shrimp in and bao (mmmm) and then there was boba and then there was a guy being hit with sticks for fun and profit (no, really). ooh, also, General Mao emblazoned backpacks. And and the cutest shirts I have EVER seen in my life. Sadly, they were sized to fit ten year olds and thus I do not have a shirt with a picture of a heart (an actual heart, like, the organ and not the other kind) that says "I keep the beat." or one with a picture of a liver that says, "I'm a liver, not a fighter." There were also shirts that made me think of [livejournal.com profile] fox1013 in that way where the shirts were like, black and covered in purple glitter and said, "How the Grinch Stole Christmas." Also, I now have a wee Superman action figure/sculpted...doohickey to put on my desk at DQ Headquarters. He can join my BE rogue, my Orc shaman, my undead lock, and my dwarf warrior. The dwarf could be a paladin, I don't know. He's got some kickin' armor. And then! Then! I will have an action figure of that dude with the wings. My desk will be so decorated, y'all. I think I might bring Norrington to live with Supes. And Crankypants King Eomer. There will be a glorious tableau of asskicking for justice!

Things discussed included an AU where Hillary Clinton was part of the 70s punk scene; FOB as Lilo (Patrick), Stitch (Pete, by his own admission), Nani (Andy), and David (Joe); my continuing dissatisfaction with fictional portrayals of LA; and how vampires and Chinatown do not mix. Ooh, also, we discussed zombies, ghosts, and vampires in terms of class divisions. Things seen also include a pair of boys reenacting "Crank That". Here, have a bonus Soulja Boy link: http://youtube.com/watch?v=RKQgDY0pZ68 "Crank That (Travis Barker remix)". I don't normally find Travis Barker to be hot, but damn that man can drum so well that I forgive him for being kind of scary. Also? Mark Hoppus *clearly* got the better deal in the Blink 182 divorce.

I think I'm going to put up some holiday rock songs and a Brief Guide To Why I (Mostly) Unironically Like Fall Out Boy's Music. ZOMG DAY AFTER TOMORROW.

Also, it is *goddamn freezing* in my room. You would assume that this would cause me to close my window, but you would be wrong. Instead I just put on sweatpants and a (garishly pink) fleece hoodie.

and only somewhat of a gratuitous icon post. *points* [livejournal.com profile] thelionforreal made this for me from the BEST COMMERCIAL IN THE HISTORY OF EVER. Oh, Mr. T. Who knew that you could outawesome Bill Shatner in the Being a Snarky Dork sweeepstakes?

*G* I mean, I don't *hate* Angels and Airwaves, but I so completely associate Tom DeLong's voice with Blink that every time I hear it, I keep going, "Why doesn't this band rock as hard as Blink, Tom? Why's that? I know, it's because TRAVIS BARKER CHOSE MARK."

And then I laugh sort of meanly and go listen to Blink 182 and +44.

I didn't actually get to any naughty bits yet, so I'm not sure. I will update once I've hit those since, uh, well, no one should be reading that book for the prose.

*giggles* I've been watching these commercials for a week and giggling every time anyone says, "Night elf mohawk." It's pavlovian at this point.
