Sheila. Sheila. If I ever meet this tiny boy, I fear I will blurt out, "JESUS FUCKING CHRIST, YOUR RANGE IS SO HOT."

and yet that could well wind up being one of the least disturbing things fans have ever said to him, so. *hands*

True, I won't be THAT embarrassed if I tell him that, because hi, at least it isn't TMI about the Things I Would Like To Do To Him. But I would prefer if my "and your range is SO HOT" came after a quiet thank you for his music, and how much it's helped me find new awesome friends and connect with old friends and caused me to go to more shows and brought back live music into my life blah blah cornycakes.

I'm sorry. I'm afraid that I must officially declare this ADORABLE.

he spent, like, every spare second of the rest of the m&g trying to figure out what to do with it, though, because YA paperbacks (http://www.amazon.com/Nick-Norahs-Infinite-Playlist-Rachel/dp/0375835334/ref=pd_bbs_2?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1200862361&sr=8-2) are just too big to fit in pockets. *facepalm*

It *is* hot, though. So there's that.

(Shrift, I really. I. I WANT FOR PATRICK TO DO MORE BLUES SONGS. Or like, release a covers album. OR SOMETHING. I just need more music from him. And the others, yes, but I want more stuff from the lower end of his range because holy shit, that kid's *voice*. How is it even real? HOW DOES A PERSON THAT TINY HAVE A VOICE THAT BIG?)

I join you in the corner of PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE MORE BLUES SONGS, PATRICK. I would love for him to be a tiny tiny blues singer. And god, yes, the lower end of his range does things to me.

(Like, on "Sophomore Slump" every time I hear Beckett sing "the best part of 'believe' is the 'lie'...", and then Patrick's voice comes in so rich and strong, my STOMACH SWOOPS. Every time.)

I spend a lot of time listening to FUCT and IOH and just sort of flailing and going, "PAAAAAATRICK!"

It's either low end of his range or when he just randomly starts going crazy with the upper end of it, like in "Don't You Know Who I Think I Am?" during the "I'm just a painter..." part.

Hmm... That's pretty good-I suppose it's more impressive if you aren't regularly exposed to men who have such low ranges that they have trouble singing middle C. Like the man singing the solo in this song: Judgment Day.

Patrick does pretty good for a rocker, though. I know he's using a different technique than a choral singer uses. :)
