...that movie would have been infinitely better without the random crazy dude serial killer.

also, omg you guys, SIMPLE PRECAUTIONS WOULD HAVE PREVENTED LIKE, 2 OF THE DEATHS. LIKE A WETSUIT AND A RADIO THAT WAS NOT DEPENDENT ON THE SHIP. WTF.

I liked it, overall. Michelle Yeoh, Chris Evans, and Rose Byrne were smokin' hot; the science wasn't the best, but whatever, this is by the same guys who decided you could infect monkeys with rage and have it be transmitted to humans and it resulted in a lot of really gorgeous shots; people were generally very practical and the mistakes that were made weren't out of the realm of the possible.

But mostly, people were hot *and* pragmatic *and* saved the world *and* were all of them batshit insane and ruthless.

They were! There was one part where they were contemplating the fate of someone, and one guy was like, "The fate of one person versus the fate of all mankind? Kill him." And I swear to you, I *cheered*.

It's just so nice to see a movie in which people weigh consequences logically and follow through on it and realize that sometimes those choices have to be made even though it makes them ruthless and kind of a dick. SO AWESOME.
