I am really amazingly annoyed by how my ipod will randomly and inexplicably stop playing video. Bitch, I paid GOOD MONEY for some of these videos and I would like to WATCH THEM IN BED, OKAY?

I mean, why am I being denied hot detective Patrick and serial killer/mob assassin Pete? Or Muse covering "Feeling Good" live at the Montreux Jazz Festival? Or Ray's amazing hotness in "Famous Last Words"? PJ Harvey being smokin' hot in "This Is Love"? Why do you want me to be sad?

Man, next ipod I buy is going to get a warranty. It wouldn't be so bad, except that it will sometimes play video JUST FINE. I don't even understand.

I thought about Norrington a LOT this weekend. And it was all just...what an amazingly awesome character he is. Seriously. Hot and snarky and smart and bitchy and just. He *leapt* over the railing and started kicking undead pirate ass without even blinking. I mean, seriously, how wonderful is that? I still even love drunken pissy Norrington who hadn't bathed in forever for being such a *bitch* to everyone. <333

Oh hey, maybe I will go watch Persuasion. Mmmm Capt. Wentworth. Mmmm. Or ooh, ooh, maybe I will watch some latter Hornblower with Lt. Bush. OH HORATIO, YOUR AMAZINGLY GAY LOVE FOR LT. BUSH WILL ALWAYS BE MY FAVORITE THING ABOUT YOU*.

Hm. yes. Yes, I think this is a plan. Shallow ogling of hot stoic dudes in the uniforms of the Royal Navy! Jack Davenport, Ciarin Hinds, and Paul McGann! Woo!

Hornblower is actually why I...really don't like Jamie Bamber at ALL. OTOH, it is why I sat through the Who movie for Doctor #8. Paul McGann, you count in MY book.

I really need to see Horatio Hornblower. I'm kind of ashamed that I haven't already.

I was kind of surprised by the random surge of NORRINGTON NORRINGTON NORRINGTON that took over my brain this weekend. I suspect it is because I pulled out his action figure to maybe take to work and then he was just glaring all pissily out of the plastic and I was reminded of how much I *love* him. Just. *flail* He's so snarky! And he does right by people and being around Jack reduces him to being a bratty ten year old! *hearts*

And I am kind of iffy on Hornblower? Like, I am not the biggest fan of Ioan as an actor or of Hornblower as a character, but I *love* Lt. Push and Admiral Pellew with an unholy glee. Like, overall, for Napoleonic War Hijinks, I prefer the Sharpe movies because hey hey Sean Bean as Captain Sassypants, but Hornblower has some awesome moments too.

I don't know if this is your problem with your iPod, but one strange thing I learned about the way they work is that if you want to see video, you have to start from "Video" off the main menu. Otherwise, you will get only sound. If you start from the "Music" menu, you will see the videos listed and the video icon will be there, but the video will not play, only the song.

Hope this helps. If it's not what's happening with your iPod, boo on it! Watching videos in bed is one of the best things about iPods.

It doesn't play video at all :( It starts loading but all I get is a black screen and then it stops and the whole thing freezes and I have to reset it to get it to work again. It's very annoying.
