I spent more than an hour in company with my mother today, which pretty much means that I then went shopping. YAY SHOPPING.

You know what's awesome? Hollywood Video going out of business, 'cause I picked up Dead and Breakfast, Alien 3, Larva, Lady in the Water, and Daywatch *plus* Soulcaliber 2 for less than $25. WIN.

Then I helped my nephew buy a laptop which was awesome, except for the part where I also did not walk out with a new one. OH CRUEL WORLD. I was tempted back toward laptops, though, which is awesome, except I can get a tricked out powermac for the same price as a macbook pro. or an incredibly tricked out pc/laptop. my life, it is hard.

judging from the dvd, butch walker has the silliest hair in bandom. seriously. however, he's so remarkably charismatic in action that I forgive him for the unbelievably atrocious prince valiant haircut.

keywords for this icon: archers do it with a quiver. Because the Arrow family is the best. Admittedly, my heart lies mostly with the Speedys of the family, but the Arrows are pretty hilarious too. I...uh, use it as the whim strikes.

Mothers are...difficult. Mine seems to be responding with me intent to move out by being really passive aggressive, which just makes me want to move out more.

My mom and I are getting into screaming fights more often then not, so yeah, I think it's probably time to be moving out.

And so good. Barely anyone I know has even *heard of it*, which is a shame.

Ooooo...Lady in the Water. And Dead and Breakfast! I love that movie! Dancing zombies!

I have to admit that I am one of those lucky people who generally get along with their parents, so I am eternally sympathetic to those who don't. It's too bad, since you are an awesome person, and one day your mother will see that and go "Damn! Why wasn't I nicer to Sheila when I had the chance?"

Did that sound lame? I didn't mean for it to sound lame.

I envy people who get along with their parents. It must be so *nice*.

And it doesn't sound lame at all. Thank you.
