worst daughter ever?

mimesereI have made my mom cry. I did this magically with the following exchange:
mom: "I will break every bone in your face."
me: "If you lay a hand on me in violence, I will stop you."
mom: "What?"
me: "If you touch me with the intent to hit me, I will stop you. I won't hit you, but I'm not letting you hit me. The face pushing thing you did just now? No more of that."
Now she is crying in her room like I called her a bad word. Welcome to my world.
in better news, if I can finagle it, I have a place to live that's...elsewhere.

I left and I'm scared, but I'm getting help and I'll be fine. But I stood up for myself and my family carried on like I had done unspeakable evil, but I'm not here for that sort of nonsense.
Neither are you.
Family is supposed to protect and shelter you and give you what you need to survive. Full stop. Mine didn't do that. So I left.
