everything else is kind of. well. let's say that I spent upwards of three hours on the phone with thelionforreal and annavtree saying things like, "OH MY GOD, WHAT IS THAT BOUNCING THING?" and "How do I install programs?" and "WHY IS IT TALKING TO ME?"

so. bit of a learning curve.

I did install WoW though. And I got it all patched! Go me! Also, my keyboard glows. It's kind of spiffy.

Macbook Pro. I would have gone for linux, but I...am really not geekcore enough for that.

Plus, the nice dude at apple gave me a discount which essentially paid for the extended warranty.

If you didn't want to do vidding, you would be way more than geekcore enough for Ubuntu. But you do vid, so to do Linux is to invest some time in working out the tool mechanics. :(

But a Mac should be perfect for vidding in a stable computer environment which actually works.

hee hee. Yes! And it will be awfully nice to have a computer that doesn't eat its own memory!

Also one which will recognize my ipod when I plug it in! Oh, my old computer. I am not going to miss you at ALL.
