you guys. If this is seriously where the Pete is Hawaiian thing came from then...yeah. no. Like, I thought people were just wrong. Not...uh. mistaking one geographic region for another one entirely.

eta: YAY I read things wrong! Also wikipedia is dumb! WHO WOULD HAVE THUNK?

Uh, hi! I've been lurking the entire day and not contributing to the discussion at all. I just really enjoyed everyone's comments. But I think people thought Pete was part Hawaiian because Wikipedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pete_Wentz) says so. Because Wikipedia is never wrong, you guys! Ahaha. So it's probably from misinformation rather than ignorance of geography.

That makes me feel a lot better. Because there were some comments where it was like, "Yeah, Hey Chris said one time that he was part Caribbean and then people thought he was a Pacific Islander..." and I'm like...wait, what? So. Okay. Wikipedia being wrong is totally understandable.
