i was just talking about this episode with my brother the other night and how it is the perfect angel episode for me. it's one of my favorite episodes of television ever because it is so perfectly paced.

also, gunn/wes ftw because they were so CLEARLY perfect for each other. though i did kind of love the total dysfunction of wes/lilah. they were so messed up, i couldn't help but love them.

Definitely. There was more to Fred than being the woman on a pedestal love interest. It annoys me when reasonable personalities are overturned to trump up drama over an unlikely love affair.

I liked Fred a lot right up until the love triangle became insanely tedious. And it wasn't even that she broke up my OTP so much as it was...well, *why* did we need to go there? They were fine being all friends.

Ugh. Unnecessary romance.

That what I felt was the destruction of Cordelia's character also involved her and Angel getting into a tedious romance doesn't help either. I did not understand the obsession with pairing people up.
