Really, Fox News? REALLY? That much of a hissy fit over an unretouched photo? You would think that Newsweek said that Sarah Palin was an incompetent ass who ate babies.

Looked for photo online. It appears to me that it wasn't touched up because it didn't need touching up. You can sort of see one place where she's maybe getting a pimple? But otherwise, all of the hair is wisps falling over her face and ears from the top of her head. And she maybe looks like she's getting some wrinkles, but, for serious, she's forty something years old and wants to be President. It's not an insult to refuse to airbrush her so she looks like Lauren Conrad's younger sister.

I really really didn't understand what the big deal was or why that one woman was all, "IT IS A SLAP IN THE FACE!"

What? Seriously?

I KNOW. And the thing of it is, she's still very pretty in the picture. She just looks *real*, with smile lines at her eyes and mouth like I and other women of a certain age have. She looks like an actual person. There's nothing *wrong* with that.

If there was anything about that cover worth getting legitimately upset over, it's the *tagline*, not the picture. She looks good in the picture. The tagline, however, is actually dismissive/critical of her.

I sort of boggled at the screen when my coworker linked me to it.

This is just another fake 'controversy' about how mean the big, bad liberal media is to that moose murdering delicate flower, Sarah Palin.

The Republicans keep sending out the most bizarre mixed signals about this woman. I'm not surprised by any of it, but I wish they would just STFU and talk about real issues instead of this sort of nonsense.

Heh. Don't be silly. Republicans don't talk about issues! That would imply that they had an electable position.
