Heh. I just...I'm both incredibly angry/sad/dismayed that it went through and a little heartened at how narrow a margin it was.

I still was thinking about it but there's also the stupid ethical implications that I can't just up and leave.

Also, someday if I wanted to go back into the field after a break I'd need recs.

For some reason people don't make good references after someone says, "You know, there's too much fucking crazy here. I'm going to lunch and will be back for my stuff next week."

...that's one of the nicer ways I can think about saying, "I quit."
