1) ran heroic TOC 5 man. Learned that I am not really a good raider at all. Or...well. A good player. Things get confusing, I rarely know which way I am facing, and then there is a large repair bill at the end because I don't recognize "the green stuff" when I am standing in it.

2) loremaster is a pain in the ass to get.

3) we almost did For the Horde, except the raid leader failed at recruiting healers and then didn't listen when the 4-5 people who'd done the raid before recommended starting anywhere but Darnassus and Exodar. Whatever. I'll get my black war bear eventually.

4) I'm really amazingly terrible at being a kitty druid. Sadly, boomkin/casters in general bore me, I find being a tank amazingly dull, and healing also seems to be beyond me. Possibly I should just l2play.

5) Grunty, the murloc marine, and the zergling pet will fight if they are near each other. Awesome or AWESOMEST?

in unrelated news, DEAR POTC4, YOU ARE ALREADY DEAD TO ME.

in not really related but somewhat amusing news, I like my new SC2 icon:

the last of the five things!

1) a piano. a real one. with the pedals and everything. (pete snickers at him and says that it's not like patrick could reach the pedals anyway and patrick doesn't punch him in the face. Instead, he almost punches him in the dick, but pete dodges at the last second and patrick hits him in the hip instead.)

2) a real bed. and a real shower. pocket sized doesn't mean shit after two weeks.

3) his vinyl. mp3s don't even compare a little bit.

4) more shoes! spencer smith agrees.

5) Everyone. He misses them sometimes, on long stretches of the highway when it's just Andy and him and the sound of tires on asphalt like the hiss of rain.

1) Raptors.

2) Mammoths.

3) pantsless monkeys.

4) 40000 year old, partially frozen alien possessed mammoths.

5) sharks.

man, my friends have stopped mentioning pirates 3 around me because i tend to swear and spit on the ground. is his absence confirmed? i'm still foolishly hoping that they will do what they have done with EVERY OTHER CHARACTER who has died and give him a highly confusing and implausible resurrection.

man it would be so awesome if the movie was somehow good but there's no way it's gonna be good and i am sad.

My worst nightmare is they'll bring a certain someone back, and turn him into an asshole. D:

I'm seeing spoilery posts all over my f'list today, and I've avoided them... and I'm sad, because I remember avoiding spoilers for DMC with a "Squee! don't tell me anything! I want to be surprised!" attitude. Now I'm all "Oh god, I don't want to know..."

I feel you on the first point. WoW is the first ~*~video game~*~ I've been invested in since, like, Mario Bros. My spatial understanding of 3D-in-2D is shit. Keeping track of positioning was my number one hurdle to melee DPS, and still gives me headaches when I tank. And not standing in the bad stuff? I still die to whirlwinds, much to my friends' chagrin.

There's only one way to get better, though, and that's practice practice practice. Regular TOC is actually really good for that, because the obstacles are there but they're less punishing if you fuck up. Also, jesus, kitty DPS is basically the hardest rotation in the game. Maybe you could play with a simpler lowbie in junior instances to work on your spatial/movement stuff?

Yeah, this. My main's a healer, and I've just started seriously playing my alt in alt raids and the like. She's melee DPS - enhance shammy, which is harder than the faceroll of ret paladin, but way easier than something like kitty, which I hear is horrifying.

But yeah - melee positioning makes me want to cry. Augh. Practice, practice, practice. Hell, I'm still trying to train myself out of being a keyboard turner...

My boyfriend broke me of the keyboard-turning impulse REAL fast. I rely on the mouse far too much, though. Needs moar WASD.
