Wow. AMAZING. Gunn is one of my favorite characters in all of television and this was just PERFECT in every way-- from song choice to shot selection to editing. Plus, it was gorgeous. I'm completely blown away. Very well done.

I should tell you that I have been watching this vid all week, and it's one of the major reasons I'm bummed about missing Escapade this year, just to have heard the crowd reaction.

FANTASTIC. FAN-FREAKING-TASTIC. Possibly the most perfect song match I have ever, ever, seen (or at least since "Dante's Prayer"). Beautifully cut, great clip matching, but I'm still stuck on the eleventh viewing by its omigod perfect song choice, so that's all I can say yet about it technically....

Um. Do you have plans to recut it for those few aspect ratio problems, or is that just wabi-sabi? ;)

The crowd reaction at Escapade was interesting -- and by interesting, I clearly mean somewhat baffling -- but good in the end. There was some laughter at the beginning and then goodness and yayness at the end.

And I (obviously) agree about the song choice since I've been looking for *years* for a song that fit Gunn as well as I needed it to and then there was Jesus Walks and I was like, "Oh hey," and then it all fell into place.

And the aspect ratio recut requires both that I figure out how it happened in the first place, so that might take a while. Also it requires that I rerip the DVD source to not be crazy. The learning, it never ends.

The song and the editing go so well together that it's like this vid was "meant to be," in some preordained sense. The fact that it seems so natural is a testament to your creative inspiration and hard work. Hands down, this is the best vid I've ever seen.
