Why is he so awesome?

Because he's made of awesomeness with a side of awesomesauce.

Norrington is superduper awesome because he's really competent at his job, *knows* he's really competent at his job, thinks crime (and Will Turner) are stupid, and because he has this incredibly dry sense of humor and doesn't suffer fools.

Oh, oh, also because he has the sweetest smile and was going to LEAP OFF A CLIFF after Elizabeth until someone pointed out that he'd die and then was like, OKAY! PLAN B! and because he gets all bratty when Jack is there to pull his pigtails and because he didn't think control of the ocean should be given into the hands of pirates and because even drunk and down on his luck he knew what Jack was saying was a load of bull and because he leapt over the railing to fight undead pirates without blinking and fought Koehler and did his duty even when he didn't want to.

um. and he's played by Jack Davenport :)
