They were rather overwhelmingly subtexty, weren't they? I assume the one who was lying about how much action he was getting is actually gay and wobbling between the Conflicted and Terrified hangers in his closet, whereas his emo-haired friend will have his heterosexuality strongly asserted with Blonde Bicycle Girl.

in fairness, molly parker and jack davenport were smokin' hot when they were having The Sex. By themselves and with other people. It's just unfortunate that all the adults were kind of dicks.
